Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a powerful, evidence-based treatment modality used to treat a variety of psychiatric disorders. If you suffer from Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), depression, anxiety, substance abuse, or an eating disorder, our DBT program can help you successfully recover. DBT incorporates mindfulness practice along with elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a central component of treatment. DBT targets self-injurious and suicidal behaviors, addresses behaviors that interfere with successful treatment, and works to help you improve your overall quality of life. "Building a Life Worth Living" is the motto of DBT.
About the facilitators: Elise Crawford was intensively trained in DBT by Behavioral Tech in 2005, and had multiple additional trainings, including several by Marsha Linehan who is the creator of DBT. Orit Paytan has had multiple trainings as well. Both of us have led skills training groups and have taught other therapists DBT in 2-day workshops.
